Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

child custody

the mother of my children has lost temporary custody to her mother. i want my children to not live with her mother and back with my ex wife. her mother used me against my ex wife to get temporary custody. now she is not letting me talk to my children. this has been a on going problem. i don't know how to go about it. i don't have the money for a lawyer. i have been paying money to her mother for sometime. this was basically a mission to demolish my ex wife. her mother is not a normal woman. most parents want their children to do better in life than they have but her mom will not allow that. i don't want my children to be raised by her mother. how to get my children back?
