Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Child support jurisdiction

I signed a divorce decree in 2002 in Texas. I have now resided in Iowa since 8/05. My ex wife, with our children have resided in Iowa since 5/06. Can you please tell me if and how I can have the jurisdiction changed to the State of Iowa.

Re: Child support jurisdiction

You are now a legal resident of the state and you can proceed in state court if you care to. Jurisdiction is conferred by residency.
