Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Child support question?

I live in Iowa and currently pay child support. The child is 4 years old. My question is I make about 12k a year as I am student trying too finish my degree. I pay 320 in child support a month leaving me with about 400 for myself witch is hard enough too live off of as it is. The child support is court ordered as part of our devorice. The reason for the devorce was infidelity on her part and with the child getting older now I am questioning the paterinty from what I hear about Iowa law is that even If I had a test done and found he was not my child I would still have too pay Child support. I was just woundering if this is true. If the child turns out not too be mine could I get Child support droped and the money I have been paying for the last 4 years back?

Re: Child support question?

Yes, it is true. Any money you pay in support you will not get back.
