Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
Child Support Recovery Taking money not Owed
It is in my divorce decree and decided by the court that an extra $100 would be paid per month for support owed now after 3 years the Child Support Recovery Unit has charged me for the same money I am already paying. Now they have taken my tax return and restricted my passport. The CSRU has no right to take any action against me as this has already been judged upon in the court. Also I am still paying for my daughter that is 19, married and has 2 kids of her own. She quit school when she was 16 and her boyfriend was allowed to live in her mothers house and she got pregnut at age 17. I recieved a Emancipation Verification Form and filled it out and sent it back stating that she quit school at the age of 16 But I am still paying for her today. I have turned this all into my original divorce attorney in Oct, 2004 but they have taken no action. I would like to know what if any lawsuits can be filed and if there is an attorney that will truly fight for the non-custodial parent.
Over the past 5 years I have show pictures of the house where my children live and the living conditions are terrible, the kitchen was so dirty and there was no clean dishes and no place on the table that was clean and trash covering the floors.

You have an attorney. I suggest you listen to what they have to say or hire yourself another, after you fire the first.
