Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
childcare nonpayment
I was asked by my sister in law and brother to watch their kids for $10 a day. They agreed that no matter what happened they each would pay half of the bill. I have nothing in writing. My brother has payed his share and my sister in law has not. Amonth after the agreement was made she left my brother for another man. She payed me once more and never again. She owes me over $800 now. Can I sue her? It has been less than a year since the agreement was made.

Yes, you can sue her, but you have no written agreement and you would be faced with trying to collect on a judgment. I'd ask your brother to pick up the slack.
