Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I was cohabitating with girlfriend, we were engaged, I broke it off. She filed for a protective order, I have not been served. I have never done anything to her. She is doing this to keep me from my things, and possibly damaging, hiding or selling them. Can I go get my things? If they serve me while I am there can I still finish getting my things?

If you have not been served, don't assume that you will not be. I wouldn't go near the place to retrieve my property without a police officer in tow.
