Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

conflict of interest

i filed a complaint against my wife's divorce attorney for some unethical practices and may have incured her rath by doing so. i realize its an attorney's job to passionatly defend their clients rights, be i think my wife's attorney has taken the complaint i filed against her as a personal attack. my question is, since i have a complaint filed against her and she's the opposing council in a pending civil case, does that make it a conflict of interest on her part and should she have to back out as my wifes council?

Re: conflict of interest

No. It is not a conflict of interest because the attorney represents your former wife and not you. However, you may find that the willingness to listen to your lawyer's arguments is somewhat diminished. You probably didn't help yourself much.
