Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Court ordered child visitation

My daughter will turn age 18 on October 15, 2007. Court ordered visitation would normally end at age 18 as far as I am aware. However, she is now a junior in high school, and will not graduate until June of 2008. Can I still have court ordered visitation until she graduates from high school? Child support continues beyond age 18 if the child has not yet graduated from high school. Is this also true of court ordered visitation?

Re: Court ordered child visitation

Support and visitation are two entirely different things. When your daughter reaches the age of majority she's responsible for her own affairs and can visit with whoever she likes but no one can tell her she has to.
