Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My daughter is 15 she will be 16 in September she currently lives in Kentucky with her father. We have joint custody of her and he has physical custody but she wants to live with me in Iowa. What would the best way to go about this.

Thank you,

You haven't told me where the custody decree was issued, and that makes a difference. If it's in Ky, you'll have to employ a Kentucky attorney. Likewise here in Iowa you'd have to employ an Iowa attorney. Unless you can demonstrate a serious change in circumstances, the tendency is not to disturb existing custody arrangements.
