Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I am on disability and my daughters get benefits because of this. Right now my ex gets both checks cuz he has physical care I filed a motion to petition custody orders an I think he his going to agree. Does he then get one check and I get the other. Also will he have to pay child support? He makes like $5000 a month plus the girls $800. Where I only get $2300 per month
