Divorce / Child Support

if someone is married to a woman who does not work because she decided not to and he files for divorce, will he have to pay 50% or more of his salary to her just because she doesn't want to work? 3 kids involved.

Temporary alimony is a real possibility under such circumstances. Child support for three is not going to be a walk in the park, either.
