Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I am currently going through a divorce. My husband and I have been separated for 15 months now, and I've had a protective order against him for the past year. We are allowed two emails per week for the sole purpose of discussing our child's welfare. He's allowed 6 supervised visitations a month. In his last few emails, he's claiming that he's had visions of my tombstone and that if I don't repent and go back to him, God's going to strike me dead in a car crash. I am working with a legal aid attorney, and it's very difficult to get her to answer questions. I went to the courthouse yesterday to file a motion for contempt. My question is: how do I go about requesting that the court withhold visitations until he undergoes a psychiatric evaluation?
