divorce or separation
My husband and I have been married for 14 years. We have lived together for about 25 years. We can no longer live together and I would like to know which is better divorce or a separation?

There's no such thing as a legal separation in Iowa that means anything. A dissolution of marriage is a more definitive alternative. This is particularly important where there are issues of division of property or children involved.
