Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
I was divorced in 1995. After it was finalized my husband filed for bankruptcy and claimed everything he owed me, including military retirement. Today I am still single and disabled. The only income I have is $600 a month SSI. I would like to know if I can sue him for the retirement and alimony, even though I did not get alimony in the divorce. While the children were growing up he either paid no support, or had it reduced. Much of the time he was unemployed but did not reveal that his parents were supporting him. He is now employed and married for the third time. What are my options?
Thanks

Unfortunately the time to sue him for anything is long past.
