Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
I got divorced 5 years ago. My ex-husband has custody of our child. I just discovered that he was married 2 times before our marriage. I found record of 2 marriage license but NO RECORD OF DIVORCES. Does this mean that our marriage was never legal?...AND would that change custody of the child we share?

If your husband was married when he married you, that marriage is nonexistent. Whether that would change custody is unknown because custody is awarded in the best interests of the children. Just because you didn't find a record of divorce on ICIS does not mean it didn't happen, just that you didn't find it.
