Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

employer intervention

My wife went to work upset after an argument we had. I am not exactly sure what she said but her employer called me and said that he was concerned for his employee and that I had shouted at my wife and somehow threatened her and this constituted a form of abuse on my part, Now my wifes employer is pushing her to go to the police and file a report. Can my wifes employer do this? Can they contact me this way? Can they require her or persuade her to go to the police? What if any rights do I have in this matter?

Re: employer intervention

Your wife will do what she thinks is appropriate to the circumstances because this particular cat is out of the bag. The question to address is not whether you have any rights, but why this situation got so out of hand that strangers got involved.
