Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

How to end a child support order

My ex owed back due child support. I signed up to have it collected by the state child support unit. There is no order for current child support as the parental rights were terminated. I want to void the past due amt and discontinue any further collections. I am told I need to obtain a court order to do this. I do not want to hire an attorney. What forms do I need or how do I go about getting a court order to do this?

If there's a CSRU action then they have to be part of it. If there was a form you could fill out, I'd point you to it. But there isn't. If you can't afford an attorney maybe the Legal Aid Society could help.
