Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My ex-husband and I agreed on amounts we both owed in debt. He didn't pay any of it and I was responsible for it. His share was approximately $22,000. Our divorce was final in May 2011. I recently found out he was awarded social security disability. Is there any way for me to have that money garnished to pay me the money he owes me?

Unfortunately no. Social security, pension and disability income are not garnishable. You'll have to look elsewhere.
