Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

If my ex-husband quits his job, how does that affect the child support?

My ex-husband quit his job of 10

years. He then moved to

Alabama. Now he has asked the

state to consider lowering the

amount of child support he has

been ordered to

pay, as he makes a lot less than

he was. Is he likely to have a

judgement go his way? What will

the judge consider and look at

when making his consideration in

this case? Do I have any rights?

What can I or should I do?

Your job is to resist his motion. The court will be very interested in why he quit his job.
