I assume that you are referring to the 90 day period before the decree becomes final, and I believe you could dismiss the action and refile it. In the alternative you could simply get remarried.

But I know of no formal procedure to stay the date the decree becomes final under 598.19. Of course, you could also have your attorney sound out the court and see what could be done informally in the way of a continuance, as judges have a certain amount of discretion in such matters.
