Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Okay my girlfriend has visitation rights to her son. Her ex-husband has granted her permission to have her son for a year but he has stipulations in place for my girlfriends son to stay with her. All but one stipulation sounds legal to me. The stipulations are as follow: 1) The son is to keep at least a C average in school, 2) He can not get in trouble with the law, and 3) Neither the son nor my girlfriend can be around me. I do have a felony on my record but I have been trying for the last three years to keep my life on track and I've been with my girlfriend for three years as well. I do not see any legal standing in the third stipulation and would appreciate any help I could get regarding this. Also If the stipulation is not legal what steps would my girlfriend and I have to take to get it thrown out without her losing her son? Also I live in Kahoka, Missouri but the initial custody battle was in Fort Madison, Iowa.
