Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
Our granddaughter resides with her mother since birth, 10 years. The mother is afraid to move into less expensive housing for fear the daughter will be removed by the father (never married) because this would be an unstable home. 2 years ago this was contested for the same reason and at that time there was no change in custody by the courts, but a small fortune was spent on attorneys. The father is a bully with considerable resources who is always trying to drive the mother into financial ruin. Does she need to be overly concerned about loosing custody?

If someone wants to file on your daughter there's n0ot much she can do about that. If the conditions are much the same-no substantial difference-then custody will not be disturbed. It's your daughter's problem, anyway.
