Grandparent Custody in Iowa

Our son & daughter in law have daily physical & verbal shouting matches in presence of our 2 year old granddaughter; our granddaughter stays with us each weekend & cries/screams each sunday we take her home; today she packed a backpack for herself & went to the door asking to come stay with us; can we get custody?

It's not impossible but difficult. You'll have to commit to expensive litigation with no guarantee of success.
