Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Granted sole legal custody and primary physical custody of my son by the court over a year ago due to whereabouts on the other parent unknown. To my understanding this isn't exactly full custody. A job opportunity has come up in Canada and I was wondering if I will have any issues moving my son to another country even with the other parent no longer in the picture.

You can file to terminate their parental rights under chapter 600 of the Code but that takes some time. I'd talk to an immigration lawyer to see if Canada may impose any barriers based on the facts you've presented.
