Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My husband was divorced from his ex-wife and they ahve joint custody of their 4 year old son. She moved to California and the divorce decree is set that he pays child support each month, she gets to claim him on taxes, and we pay all travel costs. It does not specify that she has to drop him off at the airport, but we assumed that was implied, and she has always done so. Today we bought the plane tickets ($850 worth of plane tickets to be exact) to bring my step-son home. His mom is now saying she will not bring him to the airport and we need to figure out how to pick him up. She lives 3 hours away from the airport, meaning at least 6 hours round trip, and we don't have that long of a layover, and to change the tickets would be hundreds and hundreds of dollars. she is refusing to work with us on this. What can we do? is there a way to get our divorce decree changed to say that she must bring him to the airport? I feel like it's wrong that she can make us lose out on our time that we are designated with his son, as well as the $850 (or the change fees we will have to pay). please help!

You'd have to go back to court and get your custody and support agreement modified.
