Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My husband and I were married November of 2011. Is it possible to get a divorce without child support and everything involved with it? We are still going to live as husband and wife, but financially (i have bad credit and he has great credit) it is better for us not to be married. If so how do we go about this, and do we have to make it publicly known that we got divorced?

As of right now i have not even changed my last name. We do have 3 children together, but are not planning on changing our living relationship.

You'll have to go through the entire process for an uncontested divorce. The court might not think much of an agreement that relieves the wage earner of their obligation to support the children, though.
