Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My husband and I have a mixed family. He has a daughter, I have a daughter and we have 3 children together. My daughters father gave up his parental rights in April 2006. At the end of the month his daughter went to school and said some untrue things and got DHS involved. All the children were removed from our home, but we fought the allegations in court and the children( with the exception of her- she was 15) were returned to our home about 5 months later. While my daughter was in foster care during this whole thing I started recieving threatening messages from her fathers new wife. She made accusations that I was a bad parent and that they were going to get her from me. Since he gave up his rights I questioned why he was even sent the case documents- I never recieved an answer. Is this wrong? What can I do about it?

Sounds like somebody made a mistake. It happens. You can't call it back.
