Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
My husband is required to pay 1/2 of uninsured medical bills for his son from his previous marriage. His ex-wife has emailed a copy of a bill. The only part of the bill that shows is his wife's name and the amount owed. It does not show what the services were for the visit, the date of the visit, or that it was even for his son. He has asked her more than once to show what the bill is for and she refuses. For other bills she has always sent a receipt of services and has shown they were for her son. Why would he have to pay a bill that he doesn't even know if it is for his son?

Your husband shouldn't assume that it is not for his son. He's a parent so he should be able to get copies without too much trouble. How about calling the billing office at the hospital and explaining the situation and asking who the patient was?
