my husband and I seperated, I live in my house and have no clue where he is at. He is trying to sell my house, can he do that since this is my place of residence and I have 2 kids?

Unless there is a custody and support agreement in place his rights to property are as good as yours. Whose name is the house in?

There is also no such thing as a legal separation in Iowa. What you ought to do is have your attorney file for dissolution and seek an order on temporary matters immediately to prevent your husband from disposing of assets held jointly.
