Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
I have Joint Legal Custody of two minor children. If I feel my ex-wife is forcing our daughter to go to a psychiatrist and I opposed, what remedies do I have when the "uninsured medical bills" come to me. The decree states medical et al, decisions are to be mutually "reasonably" and I feel the visits are not necessary. If she goes against my wishes is she violating the decree? Also, the decree states she pays the first $250 and the bills must be provided to me within 30 days of incurring the expense. Many bills are months ago. Do I pay for all, ones within 30 days, or none?

Only you can decide what to pay. The bills and the creditors aren't going to go away. Maybe you should contact your attorney and see what they can do. There's no way you can just stop paying your bills because you don't want to.
