Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Was it legal during my divorce proceeding for my ex-wife to have contact with the judge during a recess. Her lawyer and herself stood outside the judge's room and greeted him as he came out. If this was not right what are my options.

Depends on whether it was a communication about anything that could affect your rights or obligations that of course you would have to be party to. It doesn't sound like it was but you're the best judge of that.
