Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

legal guardianship

I am moving to another state, my 17 year old son wants to finish school where he has gone the last 5 years. He would like to live with his 24 year old sister and her 28 year old husband who live in the same town. What if anything do I need to do legally to make this happen? I share joint custody with his father but I have primary physical custody.

Father has to sign off on a change in the custody and support order. Then a judge has to sign off on it.
