Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
legal signatures?
I am married and live in Iowa. My husband and I are together and live together. Recently I discovered my husband has female acquaintance who lives in Boise, he has purchased a vehicle for her and when they got the insurance for it she signed the policy as being married to him, signing his last name to her name. Is this legal, and if not what can Ido about it? Thank You

Re: legal signatures?
I think I addressed this question previously.
It is simply out of your hands, unless you are ready to take your husband to task.
Re: legal signatures?
The question really is: What do you want to do?
If your husband actually purchased the car, for another, you may, as his wife, seek return of [your] half only in a legal Separation or Divorce proceeding.
Also, your husband is the person who made the false representation/s to the insurance company. So, your complaint, or charges, whether civil or criminal, would be filed against him.
However, proceeding against your husband civilly or criminally, in this way would be counterproductive. Criminal charges and other like court process could affect his employment; and your income and support.
Nevertheless, you should gather all of your financial info and schedule and appointment with a lawyer to discuss these matters fully.
