Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

I lived with my girlfriend for 11 months of 2013. She had one child that I have raised and supported for the last 3yrs. We also have a child together. I have financially supported the girlfriend, and both children for 11 months in 2013. We had a verbal agreement that we would both claim one of the children while filing taxes this year. I filed today online and was rejected due to the her claiming both children. Even thought I was the one that supported them all. She did not even work until july of 2013. is there anything that I can do????

Not that I know of. A verbal agreement is hard to prove.
