Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Living with Grandma now.

My daughter was living with her father and now she has left and is living with my mother. She has been at my mothers for two months with no contact from her father. She will be 16 in 24 days. I have been paying my mother child support, not ordered by a court but just to help support my daughter. Her father has asked to have child support suspended, he is claiming she is still living with him. What can I do to get him to pay the child support to my mother?

Re: Living with Grandma now.

If the father wants to have his child support obligation suspended he will have to go to court to get it lifted. That assumes that there is a support order in existence and you have not told me that.
