Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Ex ownes his own business but won't pay child support

My ex owns his own business, owes over $6000 in back child support, but they can't get him to pay. Since he has a business listed in his name, can't they do something like garnish is business monies like they would if he worked for an employer that actually paid him a check? He lives and our case is in Iowa, but his business is Nebraska.

You need to consult a Nebraska lawyer for that. You have the problem of toting a judgment across state lines and they may have different rules concerning this matter in Nebraska.
