paying child support w/no visitation in texas

My son lives in Iowa have not seen him in 6 years I have just started paying child support but don't no why I have no visitation. Now x is getting married and they want to adopt my son do I have legal rights am on the right track now was hoping to be able to see my son. what is in those child support papers that won't allow me to see my son the state file not her she was on foodstamps and welfare for awhile is why they came looking for me but i went to court maybe she was hoping i wouldn't show up. huh

Support is not contingent on visitation.

That's a given. Once the custodial parent takes any government money, no matter how little, the case belongs to the CSRU.

If you wish to contest the adoption you will have to hire an attorney in Iowa to represent your interests. If you did not see your son in six years it is going to be a tough argument for you to make.
