Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
primary physical care if military deployment
My son has primary physical care with joint custody and a very strict visitation in place for his son with the mother. My son maybe facing deployment back to Iraq and his attorney 2 yrs ago said that he would be able to give primary physical care to his choice. His attorney has since been appointed to the bench. Would the mother get physical care back?

I think that your son needs to hire an attorney as soon as possible and put the things in place he needs to. It's possible to set up a guardianship but the default position is that custody might well revert to mom.
