release of child support payments
My husband and I divorced for approximately 1 year and then remarried. 9 years have gone by and I have just found out that we have a lien on our title due to child support. It does not give a total, just the amount per month. How do I take this lien off of our house? My husband does not owe any child support to me or anyone else.

You did not say who or what the lien is in favor of, and it is therefore difficult to determine what will be necessary to lift the lien or satisfy it. Liens such as you describe may be judgment liens as part of a marriage dissolution or may be filed on behalf of the state in cases where the state has provided services to the children under entitlement programs. Without more specific information it is difficult to answer your question.
