Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

restricted residency

My husband moved out 8/23/06 & I filed for divorce on 9/11/06. Every weekday he comes back to the house after I leave for work to get the kids off to school & then brings them home. After I get home, it can take up to 3 hours for him to leave because he wants to argue or 'discuss' everything. He is not supposed to be over here other than that. His lawyer says he has a legal right to be here whenever he wants. He goes through my things and destroys what he wants. I now have to have my mail held at the post office because it was also dissappearing. He took some of my clothes, took medication from my purse (repeatedly) and uses our children to manipulate any situation. I want to get restricted residency so he cannot keep coming here when he has no reason to.

What can I do to make this stop? My lawyer says I have to have a reason. Isn't this good enough? I have been paying most of the bills for years and he is not financially paying for anything currently and the house is in my name only.

Re: restricted residency

You have a lawyer. I suggest you start paying attention to what they're telling you.
