Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

rights were terminated for 1st child...will they be also for my unborn child?

my rights were terminated to my son and granted to my older sister. I am currently pregnant and am due in december. I have heard from my attorney that I if I have the child in Iowa DHS will take it as well..he recommends that I have it out of state. DHS has told my older sister that they most likely wouldn't take it if I don't have the baby in polk county but could have it in any other county. Is this true and what should I do?

Well, if you have an attorney you ought to have confidence in what they say to you. If you have corrected whatever was the cause of your rights being terminated they are probably not in danger at this time, but if the same problem exists you can expect DHS to take an interest in the child's welfare no matter whatt county you move to.
