Rights of a 17 yearold

Im 17 and live in Davenport. I go to school and have a job. THings are not going good at home. My dad said I can move out and I want to. Heres the question if he says I can move out but doesn't want the courts involed can I? Im also afraid after I leave he will say I ranaway. What can I do?

The age of majority is 18 in Iowa. There's nothing you can do to change that. You would be well advised ot waint until your 18th birthday to leave home.
