Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa
school blocking me from picking up my child
My ex and I never went to court to get set visits or custody because we always agreed. Now, the mom is mad at me and told the school not to let me pick up my daughter. The principle said the mom has the first say and if she says no then he can't let me pick up my child until he has a court paper saying that I can. Is this legal?

The answer to that is unclear since your rights and responsibilities were never clearly defined. You should have gotten a custody and support order. That is what I would advise you to do.
