Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

Switching placement

My ex wife and I have joint custody of our 2 daughters, 10 and 12. She has had them since the divorce in 2003. My 12 year old now wants to come live with me. Is she old enough to just legally do that or does her mom have to agree with it? If her mom doesn't agree and it goes to court, will the court be willing to let her come live with me just because she wants to or would I stand no chance? Also, if she does come to live with me will that mean I would then pay no child support since I would have one child and my ex would have one child? The reason I ask is that I think my ex would be less willing to let the 12 year old go if that meant she'd be getting no child support. Thank-you.

Re: Switching placement

The answer to your first question is no. The answer to your second question is no. The answer to your third question is you would be required to file with the court for a modification.
