Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

tax sheltered savings in a divorce

If wife and I agree to equal split of 401k's, under QUADRO, if I get half of her's and her half of mine, can the halves be rolled into self directed IRA,s without penalty? or does half of the difference need to be transferred to lower one? Would prefer IRA if an option.

I do not work in that area. I'd suggest you contact an attorney who is familiar with the statutes and products you are concerned with.
