Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My wife left the state with our five children. I am disabled without funds. What must I do to assure the divorce/separation will be handled here in the state I am currently in?

Assuming that you have an existing custody and support order you will need the services of an attorney to assist you. On the other hand, since she is already out of state that makes the likelihood of getting her served, in court and responsive to the process is difficult at best.
