Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My wife has started divorce proceedings and has officially filed, Iowa is a no-fault state. I am about to receive a fairly large bonus. Am I required to split this with her or shoudl I put it in a safe place?

If the asset is acquired during the term of the marriage it is considered to be part of the marital estate-as this was money earned during the marriage it would likely fall into that category. You cannot hinder delay or defraud your creditors-including your soon to be ex wife- and you cannot ask me to assist you in so doing. Maybe some other lawyer will.
