Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Iowa
I have just bought a boat and the former owner will not give me the registration I need to register the boat in my name. Is there anything I can do legally? I bought the boat in Il., but I live in Iowa. I bought the boat through consignment from a dealer in Il. The Iowa county I live in says I must have the registration from Il. I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to get the dealer to get me the registration. I do have the title.
