Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Iowa
I am changing my name so it will be the same as my husbands. I have filed the paperwork and have to wait 30 days. My question is about notice of consent it says
If the petitioner is married, the petitioner must gibe ligal notice to the spouse, in the manner of an original notice, of the filing of the petition.
i'm not sure what that means if you could clear that up for me it would be great

You need to legally serve a copy of the petition on your spouse. That is done by taking two copies of the petition to the sheriff and paying the sheriff's department to serve it-usually under $20.
