Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Iowa
I live in Iowa and the judge told me my judgement would be expunged and that it was deferred. I just found out that My PO at the time didn't do the paperwork correctly when I was released from probation and that my sentence wasn't deferred according to court records. I contacted the PO office and they said they fucked up and didn't check some box in the system. Could I sue the state for screwing up my chances to get jobs. This wasn't brought to my attention till an employer told me.

Have your lawyer re work the paperwork. Who got paid to do this the first time? Have them fix it.
